Playwrite Reflection

One thing I found very frustrating about the playwright was my first idea I wanted to use I was not able to because of the setting i would need which would have been impossible to get through on a stage. One good part about writing a play is it goes very quite and it's an easy write once you get started. An unpleasant thing about writing a short play is that it's hard to tell the whole story with in a couple of pages.

In today’s world if I could tell a 10 year old anything to try to help them in life, I would tell them two things. That your parents and friends you should cherish and treat them the best possible because they are the ones that are always there and when you grow up you realize your parents where there to help you and that you could have treated them better. I would also tell them that there are haters out there who's goal is to bring you down but you can't let them you have to realize that your better then that and there hating for a reason...jealousy. Also it's not worth it and nether are they don't waste your life worrying about them just live your life to the fullest but as a good person. I would give them this advice because I would want them to have a drama free life that they can life with as little problems as possible.

Literature that lasts a long time is the stuff that changes your life and makes you a better person. A book that makes you realize something you didn't know about and has a strong theme which is portrayed, a theme that gives you an epiphany. I would hope to be lucky enough to write something that could last for centuries but I think it's very unlikely but anything is possible. I think in order to write something like that you would have to be a person who knows people and life.

Theme & Playwrights

I believe theme is very important in writing an amazing novel or playwright. A good book or play is one that changes you or makes you feel after you have read it and it can only do that with a theme. For example a book called Freedom Writers Diaries, the central theme is that one person can make a change and this is a great book because it inspires you to make a change for the better, whether it is for you or others. Some books don't need a theme though, like little kids books and sci-fi books as well. A theme I'm considering using in my playwright is the theme of picking your believes over fame and fortune. For example say you get a recording deal and you want to write your own music for your songs, and the record label tells you we are going to make you big and you’re going to make a lot of money but we have a professional writer writing the music. What do you do? Pick fame and fortune or you say you can't do it with out, you writing the music and risk loosing the record deal. A conflict in my play would be one of your best friends who you have known since you were little didn't like the fact that you made it big and they didn't, how would you react to knowing someone your whole life and all a sudden they are someone you have never met, some who gets gallous and starts to hate on you because of your fame.

What I think

I feel that in order to become a good writer being a experienced reader is very important because it's like saying someone is going to become a R&B musician when you have never heard R&B before, it's impossible. You must have experience in what you’re doing in order to be good at it. You also need to be a good reader due to the fact that, if you compare a person who reads a lot of books and someone who reads every once in a while, the more experienced reader is going to have a much bigger vocabulary, better grammar and spelling. Something in the world that is a big part of high school that really concerns me is that there are people going around talking stuff about other people who they shouldn’t be concerned with. Then the people who are getting talked about find out that someone was talking stuff, they get all worked up and a fight becomes about. Drama is a big part of high school now days, due to all the people who have the need to hate on someone else for whatever the reason is. My concern isn’t even for these situations it's for what the man above thinks about what this world has become for not just the adults but the kids as well. Like Aaliyah said "We need a resolution."I have many songs that have inspired me but two that are a major influence and anyone who reads this I encourage to listen to these songs, Nelly-Die for you and Ashanti-Freedom. Die for you by Nelly is a song about his children just saying that he would do anything for them and that he would die for them, basically his love for his children. This song is very important to me and a huge influence due to the fact that I feel that I was raised with that much love and I hope to raise my kids with that much love, enough love to die for them if that be the case. Freedom by Ashanti, probably my favorite song in the world, a song that heals me every time I'm sad. Freedom is a song talking about what ever you have to say about me and what ever you think about me that is negative it's not my problem it's your own, because this portrays you as a gallous hater and that I'm only gone feed off you hatred because it only makes me stronger and motivates me. At the end of the day I'm going to be free because I'm going to be me.
